Precinct 4 built 50 miles of sidewalks in 2024 near schools, parks, and bus stops across unincorporated Harris County.

"Walking without a sidewalk along a busy road is dangerous — and for many Houston-area families, it was the only option. Residents told Precinct 4 about this problem at town halls. A data analysis of 406 square miles of the precinct confirmed where the gaps were worst. The 'Sidewalks 4 Precinct 4' initiative puts safe walking paths where people need them most: within one mile of schools, parks, transit stops, and clinics."
