Encounter real specimens and artifacts from the museum collection in an intimate, educational atmosphere. May 31: Rocks and Minerals Explore the fascinating characteristics of the most important building blocks of Earth’s crust. July 26: Energy Exciting demonstrations explore the remarkable forms of energy we encounter every day. August 30: Dinosaur Discovery Peek into the thrilling daily life of the dinosaur: investigate what dinosaurs ate, how they hunted, and the adaptations they developed to survive in a harsh prehistoric world. September 27: Birds Encounter an amazing variety of birds and discover their fascinating ancestral roots, while learning about their adaptations for success. October 25: Ancient Egypt From mummies to the pyramids, experience amazing architectural and cultural aspects of Ancient Egypt. November 29: Little Bodies, Big Jobs! Brings a selection of live arthropods from the Cockrell Butterfly Center to your classroom. Audiences of all ages will have a unique opportunity to meet some of the hardest workers in the invertebrate world up close and personal.
