Study Shows Americans Want Young & Old People Working Together

Study Shows Americans Want Young & Old People Working Together

A big study by the University of Chicago found that Americans are excited about young and old people working together to solve problems. They asked 1,549 adults and found that 96% think working across ages helps solve America's problems. Young people and people of color are most excited about this - they're almost twice as likely to want to work with different age groups.

The study shows that older adults want to share their knowledge while younger people want to learn from experience. Everyone agrees education is important to work on together. Young people care most about mental health while older people focus on the environment.

The biggest problem is that people can't find ways to work with different ages. The solution is to create more programs that mix ages, make it easier to find groups to join, and change how we think about what different generations can do. When old and young work together, they can solve bigger problems and understand each other better.
