Antonella Perrone is a leader from Argentina who helps people without bank accounts or internet access get money they need. She works at a company called Xcapit that creates special phone tools to send money to people who don't have smartphones or internet. Her team built a system that lets people receive money through simple text messages on any phone.
They successfully helped 100% of people in a remote community in Peru get the money they needed. Antonella is part of the Obama Foundation Scholars program, which helps rising leaders from around the world learn new skills to make bigger changes in their communities. She wants to help more people across Latin America get access to financial tools so they can build better lives for themselves and their families.
