Join a special evening celebrating Hispanic History Month with Judge Josefina Rendón, who has spent over 35 years helping people solve problems peacefully. As a judge, mediator, and arbitrator, she has handled hundreds of disputes and helped resolve over 1,500 cases, many in Spanish. Judge Rendón has served as a Municipal Judge, visiting judge in Justice of the Peace Courts, and State District Judge, working on employment, commercial, personal injury, family, and real estate cases.
She currently works as a mediator and arbitrator and serves on the International Council for Online Dispute Resolution. The event will feature Judge Rendón sharing stories and insights from her decades of work, focusing on belonging, dignity, and practical ways to resolve conflicts. Attendees will engage in dialogue and connect with neighbors across different backgrounds.
The evening emphasizes community healing and justice through conversation and shared experiences. This free event takes place Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 7:00-9:00 PM at 3412 Crawford St. in Houston, hosted by The Center for the Healing of Racism. Donations are encouraged to support the mission.
