Democracy Notes offers a 9-month peer learning program for mid-level fundraising professionals working at organizations that strengthen democracy. The program brings together 15 people for monthly one-hour Zoom meetings from February through September. Participants share challenges, exchange strategies, and build a supportive community with others who understand their work.
The program is facilitated by Gabe Lerner (creator of Democracy Notes newsletter) and Bene Cipolla (organizational consultant). Cost ranges from $500-$1,500 based on organization size, with sliding scale options available. Participants gain access to an alumni network including leaders from organizations like Protect Democracy, Voting Rights Lab, and Race Forward.
The program is designed for mid-level fundraising staff, not senior executives. Applications are due January 5 and reviewed on a rolling basis. Participants will develop practical fundraising strategies, build professional networks, and receive ongoing peer mentorship.
This creates lasting connections across the democracy ecosystem for fundraising professionals working to strengthen democratic institutions.
