Compassion Week 2025 celebrates 10 years of bringing Houston together for kindness and community connection. From November 10-16, over 30 partner organizations will host 20 free and low-cost events focused on the theme 'Small Acts. Big Change.' The week includes meditation sessions, interfaith dialogues, music performances, and hands-on service projects.
Activities range from empathy workshops to labyrinth walks, all designed to help people connect across differences and practice compassion. The celebration coincides with World Kindness Day on November 13. This volunteer-driven initiative welcomes people of all backgrounds and faiths to participate in building Houston's culture of care.
Events include self-compassion practices, community conversations, healing music experiences, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue. Each program offers practical tools and experiences to help participants extend compassion to themselves and others. The week demonstrates how individual acts of kindness can create lasting positive change throughout Greater Houston, strengthening community bonds and promoting understanding across diverse groups.
