The Change Engine
This was a 2014 campaign to help working class communities and communities of color access energy efficiency programs. Many people couldn't benefit from state programs because they rent their homes or live in certain types of buildings. The campaign worked to create a public database to track energy programs, organized community summits, fought to keep energy efficiency rules for large buildings, and helped design better outreach programs. They also connected with neighborhood groups in Dorchester, Roxbury, East Boston, and South End to help them join state energy programs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
