Gulf-Houston Regional Conservation Plan
A 10-year plan to protect nature in the Houston area. The plan has three main goals: protect 24% of land by 2040, add nature-based infrastructure to 50% of land, and plant native plants each year to help clean the air. Houston Wilderness leads a team of environmental groups, businesses, and government agencies working together. They focus on 8 counties around Houston and work with groups that grow native grasses and plants for wetland and coastal projects.
